This Thursday Bellator MMA returns to Israel for Bellator 188: Lahat vs. Labiano.
This card unfortunately lost its title fight and Main Event, as Featherweight Champion Patricio Freire was forced to withdraw due to a knee injury just days before his anticipated rematch against Daniel Weichel. The Featherweight contest between Noah Lahat and Jeremiah Labiano will now be serve as the fight card’s Main Event.
The Bellator 188 Main Card will be aired on a tape delay Friday, November 17 at 9PM/ET on SpikeTV.
Arsen Faitovich (-145) vs. Haim Gozali (+115)
Coming off back to back stoppage victories, Arsen Faitovich (4-1-0) will look to make it three in a row when he takes on Israeli Haim Gozali (7-4-0) in his Bellator debut. The 44-year old Gozali has won two of his last three, but is most recently coming off a decision loss against Ryan Couture at Bellator 180. Although Gozali put up a good fight against Couture and may be a tough out fighting on his home soil, I’ll take Arsen Faitovich to overwhelm Gozali with an impressive debut performance.
Crystal Ball Prediction 🔮: Faitovich via First Round KO
Jessica Middleton (+100) vs. Denise Kielholtz (-130)
Jessica “Million Hits” Middleton (2-2-0) hopes to end a two fight losing streak against current Bellator Flyweight Kickboxing Champion “Miss Dynamite” Denise Kielholtz (0-1-0). Kielholtz, who is making her debut inside the Bellator cage, lost her only professional mixed martial arts bout two years ago via submission. The fact that Middleton has zero amateur/professional wins by submission, has to be an encouraging sign for Kielholtz, who will be looking to turn their bout into a striking contest. I’ll go with Kielholtz to get her first professional MMA win by knockout.
Crystal Ball Prediction 🔮: Kielholtz via Second Round KO
Jason Radcliffe (+500) vs. John Salter (-700)
John Salter (14-3-0) will look to extend his current six fight streak when he takes on Jason “the Assasin” Radcliffe (12-4-0). Salter has his eyes on a title shot, but knows he is playing the waiting game. Gegard Mousasi is next in line to face either current Middleweight Champion Rafael Carvalho or challenger Alessio Sakara as they square off December 9 in Florence, Italy. Salter has looked great in all four of his Bellator wins, including last years submission win over former Middleweight Champion Brandon Halsey. Radcliffe has lost two straight by knockout after winning seven in a row fighting under local English fight promotions. “The Assassin” will have to evade the heavy hands of Salter if plans on pulling off the upset in his Bellator debut. Salter has stoppages in all fourteen of his professional wins, seven submissions and seven knockouts.
Crystal Ball Prediction 🔮: Salter via Second Round KO
Noah Lahat (-450) vs. Jeremiah Labiano (+325)
Noah Lahat (11-3-0) faces Jeremiah Labiano (9-5-0) in a Featherweight matchup in the Bellator 188 Main Event. This is the first time either fight has headlined a Bellator Card. Noad Lahat has won four of his last six fights with Bellator and the UFC, but lost a decision to Henry Corrales in his last bout at Bellator 182. Jeremiah “the Kid” Labiano is riding the momentum of back to back wins after recently bouncing around, fighting for Bellator amongst other promotions the past two years. Six of Labiano’s last seven bouts have gone the distance. This will be Lahat’s second time fighting in Israel under the Bellator banner, as Lahat picked up a first round submission win over Scott Cleve last year at Bellator 164. I’ll take Noad Lahat to grind out a win over “the Kid”.
Crystal Ball Prediction 🔮: Lahat via Decision
Bellator action returns December 1 to the Winstar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma for Bellator 189: Budd vs. Blencowe II. Share your thoughts in the Comments section below and enjoy the fights !!👊🏻👊🏻
